I’m Justin Moran, Product Manager Based in Chicago
I have been the person who turns a room full of opinions into a backlog, a date, and a launch. I write the requirement so an engineer can build it and so the client can live without me. Computer Science, Psychology minor, Iowa State, May 2026.
Experience
Product Management Intern: Owned scope, task breakdown, and release timelines from first requirement to 200+ clinics.
Software Engineer Intern: Gathered requirements from underwriters; coordinated QA and DevOps across three teams.
Research Intern: Managed a summer research project end to end under a fixed timeline.
LAS Senator: Allocated $2.6M+ in student funding and moved infrastructure proposals to approval.
How I Work
Watch the work first: The ticket people would write is “make entry faster.” The requirement, found by shadowing, is “stop entering it twice.”
Scope is a written no: Every request that does not serve the core job waits, and the reason is written down so it does not come back as a surprise.
Plan the handoff: Documentation is a feature with a user. It goes in the scope, not in the cleanup.
