Every role I have held, from a two-person healthtech startup to a Fortune 500 insurer and a university research lab.
Software Engineer Intern: Shipped a two-sided HIPAA compliant platform to 10K+ daily active users across 200+ clinics, turning input from 229+ clinicians into two-week Jira sprints. Built the React and TypeScript clinician dashboard: rosters, consent flows, care plans, clinical notes, secure messaging, and patient reporting. Developed the patient app in Flutter, Kotlin, and React Native, with a computer vision calorie model and an OpenAI LLM chat companion. Designed AWS DynamoDB data models and daily check-in jobs that keep patient logs and the clinic dashboard in sync in real time. Built the CI/CD pipeline and unit and integration test suites that gated every release and caught regressions before production.
Software Engineer Intern: Engineered core features for the underwriting web applications used daily by internal staff, debugging critical production bugs across the TypeScript front end, GraphQL APIs, and SQL data layer. Integrated internal microservices with policy, claims, and billing systems over REST and GraphQL, so the applications served the same data the core systems held. Saved 4,500+ hours annually, or 84+ weekly, by building automated data pipelines that replaced the manual entry and rekeying teams performed between systems, removing a recurring source of transcription errors. Collaborated cross-functionally with QA and DevOps on Jenkins CI/CD pipelines built with Docker and Kubernetes, working in Agile sprints and reviewing teammates’ pull requests in Git.
Research Intern: Built deep learning models in Python for bidirectional translation between PyTorch and JAX, using GPT-3.5 and BERT for automated compatibility testing so researchers could port models across frameworks without rewrites.
