An iMessage add-on that takes a group’s restrictions and returns restaurants everyone can eat at.
Picking a restaurant is easy until someone at the table has an allergy that can send them to the hospital. SupperSquad lives in the group chat, where the decision already happens.
More than 4.6 million Americans live with severe food allergies. Existing apps are built for one person maintaining a list. Groups forward screenshots, someone volunteers to call, and the person with the allergy often ends up apologizing or staying home. We talked with 200+ people. The pain was coordination, not a lack of restaurant blogs.
I kept the surface inside iMessage so nobody installed a second social app to eat dinner. The flow is: restrictions already on the members, a short list that satisfies the intersection, a vote, a booking. Restaurants are the other side, paying to be present once their allergy menu is verified. I rejected a standalone browse app. The job starts in a text, and the design should too.
